Regional Group was contracted for a project at the Mount Holland Mine Site in collaboration with Primero, which spanned 3 days. The scope of work involved stabilising the subsiding soil beneath a tank by installing microfine grout underpinning techniques to prevent further subsidence.
One of the key challenges of the job was drilling through a 400-500mm thick concrete slab, reinforced with rebar, to access the soil below. Despite this challenge, the project was successfully completed on time.
Key achievements include the successful installation of all required grout quantities, ensuring the stabilisation and hardening of the soils beneath the slab, and completing the job within the scheduled timeframe.
